FAQ’s

Q. What do I need to bring/wear?
A. The average winter temperature is a sunny 76°, and even when temperatures rise during summer months the high rarely tops 90. Shorts and T-Shirts can be worn comfortably year round, although pants and a light jacket may be needed for cooler winter nights. If you are visiting us in the summer, our rainy season, you will need an umbrella. However, storms here pass over the islands quickly, rarely delaying the fun for long. Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit, suntan lotion, and a camera for your adventures!
Q. Can I bring a companion? Are there activities for them? Can they join the Adventures?
A. Currently, our Wealth Management Boot Camp is only open to women attendees; however, you’re invited to bring a guest to enjoy your Keys Adventure together. Please contact Karen Patterson at Key’s Concierge to arrange additional activities for your significant other at 305-583-2697.  Their website can be found here.
Q. Can I come a week early and get discounts on hotel/trips?
A. We encourage our guests to extend their stay in the Florida Keys! Contact Karen Patterson at Key’s Concierge to arrange additional activities at 305-583-2697.  Please contact the Islander Resort directly at 1-800-753-6002 for extended reservations.
Q. How do I get to Islamorada and the Islander?
A. The Islander Resort is located at Mile Marker 82.1 Oceanside in Islamorada, the Florida Keys. The historical landmark sign marks the resort’s entrance on US 1, or the Overseas Highway. View the Islander Resort online here.

Our Mile Markers

Once you’re in the Keys, U.S. 1 becomes the Overseas Highway, which runs more than 100 miles all the way to Key West.  Look for the little green mile-marker signs on the side of the highway; locals use them like addresses.  They begin just south of Florida City with number 127 and run all the way down to zero in Key West. The only other directions you need to know are “Oceanside” meaning the east side of the islands or “Bayside” to the west. Watch for the Islander Resort at Mile Marker 82.1 Oceanside  (Left side of the highway as you come from Miami).
